RADIOLOGY DIRECTORATE – CT & MRI SCANNER SUITE
Full time or Part time CT & MRI Radiography Assistant (Band 2 to 3).
Hours per week – 37.5 (full time) or no less than 22.5 hpw. Worked flexibly over seven days, covering shifts from 7am to 8pm.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation and care of patients undergoing CT and MRI scans.
* Provide reassurance and support to patients; assist patients to change; assist with preparation for CT and MRI scans.
* IV cannulation; some clerical duties; use of departmental computer systems.
* Liaise with staff within the scanning suite at RBH and with the community scanner at the Health Sciences University in Boscombe.
Qualifications and Training
No previous experience is necessary as full training is provided; skills in health care would be an advantage.
Initially a Band 2 position; following an introduction and training period of the first year, progression to Band 3 (see NHS AFC Payscales for details).

Please note: if the role or service is relocated as part of a planned move, employees will not be eligible for excess mileage reimbursement.
