Workshop Technician, Hinckley / Nuneaton
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Workshop Technician to join our automotive research and development team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with high-value test equipment and vehicles in a safety-first environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparing and certifying specialist test equipment used within automotive R&D test facilities.
* Installing and removing test instrumentation on vehicles following tests.
* Calibrating test instruments used for vehicle safety testing.
* Ensuring work is performed with accuracy, precision, and safety.
Candidate Profile:
* Mechanical fitting skills with experience as a Workshop Technician, Engineering Technician, Service Technician, or Vehicle Technician. Further training can be provided.
* Qualified to at least BTEC/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in mechanical, automotive, or electrical/electronic engineering.
* Demonstrates care and pride in work, with the ability to handle high-value equipment responsibly.
Employment Details:
* Salary: Up to £30,000 - £34,000, commensurate with experience.
* Hours: 39 hours/week, Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 16:30, Friday 08:00 – 15:30, with 30 mins lunch.
