Join to apply for the Support Worker role at Kennedy and Sons Structural Solutions
£24,030 - £24,513 per annum
Do you have experience in hospitality and customer service? Would you like to make a real difference in the community away from the noises of the city, surrounded by greenery?
Linby, Nottingham
We have a fantastic opportunity for Support Workers to join our dedicated team at Sherwood House, a registered care home providing person-centred care for elderly residents. We have 2 permanent positions and 1 fixed-term position (expected to end September 2025). Please note, we are not currently offering visa sponsorships.
The Service
Sherwood House operates 24/7, 365 days a year, supporting 19 elderly residents in a peaceful village setting that was awarded Nottinghamshire's "best kept village" in 2013.
The Role
Your responsibilities include offering practical and emotional support, assisting residents to live independently, supporting personal hygiene, facilitating community activities, and providing companionship. Some moving and handling, as well as risk management, may be involved.
What We Are Looking For
Ideal candidates have hospitality experience and excellent customer service skills. Previous care experience is desirable. We seek calm, friendly, resilient individuals who respect residents' rights and are committed to supporting their quality of life. Full training will be provided, and your personal values should align with NCHA’s CLEAR values.
Working Hours
Shifts are on a rota basis, including weekends and bank holidays, with a bonus for waking nights. Typical shifts: 07:30-14:30, 14:00-21:00, and 20:45-07:45.
Travel
Driving is highly desirable due to limited public transport options. The home is a 7-minute drive from Hucknall's High Street.
Application
We look forward to your application! Interviews are ongoing, and the vacancy may close early if enough interest is received. We are an Equal Opportunities and Disability Confident Employer, welcoming applications from diverse backgrounds and the LGBT community.
