Role description
**Required for an immediate start**
To ensure effective testing and reporting of raw materials is carried out and assist in the Batch & Furnace function in order to produce high quality glass for container production. Understanding the importance of raw material contamination and the impact on the business.
Responsibilities:
* Comply with Company Health and Safety Procedures in order to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and those around you. Carry out housekeeping as required in accordance with Company Hygiene Rules.
* Process incoming raw materials to ensure that quality is maintained by completing and ensuring acceptance testing is carried out and documented appropriately
* Monitor incoming raw material environmental compliance and to report and action non-conformance conditions appropriately.
* Assist Supervision in the daily operation and control of batch and furnace operations as required as per good practice requirements
* Operate departmental vehicles
* There will be a requirement to work at other sites on a regular basis
Required skills / qualifications:
Ability to operate vehicles
* Fork Lift Truck
* Mechanical Shovel
* Skid Steer Shovel
* Cullet Lorry
* To develop General Understanding of the Batch & Furnace Operation and routines
* Understanding of the procedures relating to incoming raw materials

* Salary based on Grade 4 of the harmonised pay scales. Salary min £28,000 - £31,751 max.
