Support Worker - Ceramics Studio & Workshops
We are seeking a reliable and practical support worker to assist a professional ceramic artist with studio work and workshops. This hands-on role suits someone with a creative/art background and an interest in ceramics.
Responsibilities
* Prepare clay, casting molds, and tools for ceramic production
* Load and unload kilns, glaze ceramics, and maintain studio cleanliness
* Assist with setting up and packing down for workshops and events, including travel within the local area
* Support practical tasks requiring physical assistance due to artist's disabilities
* Maintain health and safety standards within the studio and during workshops
Requirements
* Experience supporting someone with physical challenges preferred
* Art background essential; ceramics knowledge is a plus (training available)
* DBS check and safeguarding training essential due to workshop locations
* First aid training is desirable but not essential
* Ability to travel locally and assist with loading/unloading equipment
