Newly Qualified Project Accountant (Global Business/Belfast)
VANRATH are delighted to be working in partnership with a dynamic global business to recruit a technically strong NQ Project Accountant to join the growing finance team. Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager this is a newly created role as the business is going through a period of sustained growth and will offer significant progression opportunities and will suit a recently qualified Accountant keen to make their first move into Industry.

What you'll do
4. Assist in the preparation of monthly review packs for portfolio and project managers
5. Prepare project analysis & cost reports and propose corrective action(s).
6. Liaise with Project Managers/ Project Accountants
7. Providing timely and accurate financial data to support successful management of the business.
8. Prepare contract estimates for Multi Year Budget & rolling monthly forecast information o
9. Work closely with the wider IAS finance team providing analysis & support.
10. Assist in the development of IT tools, reporting techniques and skills
11. Ensure financial integrity and adherence to process (UK GAAP, Chorus 2.0)
12. Pro-actively support finance managers
13. Provide financial support to project control team
14. Provide key inputs for the production of internal and external audit requirements
15. Carrying out month end processing activities
16. Adhering to month end timetable
17. Update rolling forecast TM1
About you
18. Highly motivated and passionate about your ability to bring value
19. Woudl ideally suit a recently qualified accountant keen to make the first move into Industry.
20. Have ability to interact & communicate complex issues
21. Have a track record of being able to quickly assimilate and analyse technical, financial data & information
22. Have clear experience in providing financial analysis in a moving technical environment
23. Have good practical/working understanding of ERP systems (ideally Oracle), TM1 experience
