Overview
Assistant Regional Manager – South Wales. We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Regional Support Manager to support the Regional Manager and Branch Managers in delivering strong sales performance and operational excellence across our branch network.
This is a field-based role where you will work closely with branches across the region to drive sales growth, support team development, and ensure company procedures are consistently followed.
Responsibilities
* Sales & Business Performance
o Support branches in achieving sales, margin, and profitability targets.
o Assist with sales planning, forecasting, and reporting.
o Help implement promotions, marketing campaigns, and sales initiatives.
o Visit trade customers alongside Branch Managers to help grow key accounts.
o Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
* Branch Operations
o Support Branch Managers with the day-to-day management of branch operations.
o Assist with stock management, stock takes, and inventory control.
o Ensure stock is stored safely and handled in line with company procedures.
o Support the development of effective store layout and merchandising to maximise sales.
* People & Leadership
o Assist with recruiting, training, and developing branch staff.
o Support Branch Managers in motivating teams and improving performance.
o Ensure HR procedures such as appraisals, disciplinary, and grievance processes are followed.
* Financial Management
o Support effective cash flow and aged debt management.
o Assist in controlling branch costs and overheads.
* Compliance & Safety
o Ensure branches follow company policies, Health & Safety regulations, and COSHH requirements.
o Liaise with external agencies where required.
About You
* We\'re looking for someone who has:
* Previous sales or branch management experience
* Strong leadership and people management skills
* Excellent communication and organisational abilities
* Commercial awareness and a results-driven mindset
* Willingness to travel across the UK
