Position Overview
Flexible shifts for professional Care Assistants with immediate starts available! You will have the opportunity to work in a 40‑bed residential home located in Codnor which focuses on the comfort and wellbeing of its residents.
Job Responsibilities
The residents suffer with age‑related illnesses such as Dementia and Alzheimer’s, therefore supporting their mental and physical well‑being is of utmost importance. A key aspect of this role is to ensure each resident is assisted to achieve satisfactory levels of mobility, nutrition and hygiene while completing their daily tasks. You will be expected to complete housekeeping tasks, follow health and safety guidelines, and accurately report condition updates and any incidents to senior staff members.
Required Documents
* Two employment references, one of which must be from a care home setting
* In‑date mandatory training certificates (including practical moving and handling, safeguarding vulnerable adults and infection control)
* An enhanced DBS certificate dated within the past 12 months or registered on the update service
Additional Requirements
You must also have practical experience using hoists, slings, rotundas and a minimum of six months paid UK work experience in a residential care home. We can assist you in obtaining a DBS and the required training if your documents are out of date.
Employment Details
This is an ongoing position.
We have full or part‑time hours available with shifts from 14:00 to 22:00, Monday to Sunday.
Rate of pay is £13.00 per hour.
You will accrue up to 28 days paid holiday per year.
