Role overview
We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the Facilities Manager in maintaining the buildings and grounds at Cornwallis Academy, New Line Learning Academy, and Tiger Primary School. Responsibilities include maintenance, cleanliness, and security of the school premises.
The core operation hours are Monday to Friday, 6 am to 10 pm, with additional weekend lettings. We offer flexible working arrangements for full-time, part-time, casual, or occasional hours to suit your needs.
Responsibilities
* Regular maintenance to ensure the site remains clean and accessible
* Unlocking premises before school starts and securing them at the end of the day
* Carrying out repairs and maintenance of the buildings
* Participating in the alarm callout rota, requiring access to a vehicle if necessary
* Assisting with school events and operations
* Coordinating with external contractors for maintenance tasks beyond in-house capabilities
You should be responsible, proactive, and committed to ensuring smooth school operations. Customer service skills, awareness of health and safety, and a basic understanding of plumbing, electrical systems, and DIY are desirable.
