Role Overview:
The Project Application Engineer will deliver process control system solutions to customers. This hands-on engineering role involves delivering SCADA and process control systems across all project phases, including requirements gathering, documentation, configuration, testing, commissioning, and training.
Work Arrangement:
Hybrid work – 3 days a week in the office.
Responsibilities:
1. Liaise with customers to define system requirements.
2. Generate detailed system designs for automation, including enclosures, networking, instrumentation, and supervisory systems.
3. Create Functional and Test Specifications.
4. Implement control and SCADA application software.
5. Perform system tests.
6. Assist with commissioning.
7. Provide technical and sales support.
8. Work effectively as part of a team, ensuring project completion using SMART objectives.
9. Coordinate with Technical Support and Field Service Engineers, providing follow-ups.
10. Coach and mentor junior team members.
11. Conduct customer off-site visits for system start-up, commissioning, emergency restoration, training, and technical support.
Qualifications and Attributes:
1. Proven experience in control systems implementation and related services.
2. Bachelor's degree in Control and Systems Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
3. Experience with SCADA systems, preferably Aveva System Platform.
4. Ability to develop Functional and Test Specifications and perform application engineering.
5. Strong business acumen and technical skills.
6. Good team player and communicator.
7. Strong analytical and planning skills.
8. Willingness to travel occasionally.
