Job Title: Maintenance Operative
Location: To cover at two Bupa Care Homes: The Lindsay, Poole, BH13 6AP & The Links, Poole, BH18 8BE
Salary: £13.40 - £16.55 per hour dependent on experience
Contract: Permanent, Full Time. 40 hours per week (20 hours at each home)
Shifts: Monday - Friday

As a Maintenance Operative, you\'ll ensure the care home remains functional at all times and our residents have a safe and comfortable environment. We\'ll support you to get the most out of your career, including putting you through any required training for the role and supporting any career development ambitions.
Key Skills / Qualifications
* Good understanding of building services including heating, hot and cold water distribution, ventilation, electrical distribution and plumbing.
* Good understanding of building fabric and its maintenance.
* Practical experience of planned maintenance systems and record keeping.
* Knowledge of relevant statutory requirements and experience of compliance.
* Full driving licence and willingness to support neighbouring Bupa care homes.
* Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in property maintenance and general repairs, or building/electrical/plumbing qualification (City & Guilds, BTEC, ONC, HNC, etc).
* Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
* Computer literate. Good customer service skills.
Responsibilities
* Be flexible to meet changing demands within the care home.
* Practical ability and experience in painting and decorating.
