Trainee Manager
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Trainee Manager to join our team and support the overall management of the store. In this role, you will help drive sales, enhance customer satisfaction, and lead a high-performing team. You'll gain hands-on management experience while developing your leadership skills and contributing to the financial success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
* Lead, motivate, and manage staff effectively to achieve high performance
* Train and develop team members to deliver excellent service and meet operational standards
* Communicate clearly and effectively at all levels
Store Operations & Compliance
* Maintain store standards, including customer service, health & safety, and food hygiene
* Manage stock, including stock counts, waste, and special offers
* Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and security procedures
* Maintain accurate administration and reporting in line with company procedures
Sales & Profitability
* Maximise sales and profitability through effective staff management and operational control
* Monitor and control costs to meet financial targets
* Ensure offers and promotions are managed and communicated correctly
Additional Responsibilities
* Participate in TAP training and compliance management
* Support SRS communication and reporting
* Lead by example as a hands-on manager
Skills & Qualities
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Excellent communication skills at all levels
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Experience in management is preferred but not essential—training provided

Schedule & Requirements
* Full-time, permanent position
* Shifts including 8–10 hour shifts, overtime, and weekend availability
* Location: Preston (must be able to commute reliably or relocate before starting)
* Education: GCSE or equivalent preferred
* Experience: 3 years in management preferred
* Licence/Certification: Personal Licence preferred
