About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead React Developer to join our client’s dynamic team in Sussex. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to lead a newly formed front-end development team during an exciting digital transformation initiative. As the Lead React Developer, you will be responsible for guiding the technical direction of web projects, developing innovative websites and web applications that enhance the digital experience for end-users. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping the team’s success and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, user-centric solutions that increase customer loyalty and generate new business opportunities.
This position requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams including designers, backend developers, and project managers. You will have the chance to influence the technical landscape, introduce best practices, and implement cutting-edge technologies to maintain a competitive edge in the digital space. The role offers a unique platform to demonstrate your expertise, mentor junior developers, and make a significant impact on the company's digital footprint.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in React JS development, with a strong portfolio of web applications.
* Excellent proficiency in JavaScript, HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, SASS, LESS, and related front-end technologies.
* Experience with UI/UX development to create intuitive and engaging user interfaces.
* Familiarity with version control systems, particularly GitHub.
* Understanding of API architecture, object-oriented analysis, and design principles.
* Knowledge of test-driven development (TDD) or behavior-driven development (BDD) methodologies is advantageous.
* Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
* Valid UK work authorization is essential for this role.
Responsibilities
* Lead and mentor a team of front-end developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
* Design, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications and websites using React JS and associated technologies.
* Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.
* Ensure code quality through rigorous testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.
* Coordinate with back-end teams to integrate APIs and ensure seamless functionality across platforms.
* Stay updated with emerging front-end technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development processes.
* Contribute to the technical roadmap, setting standards and best practices for the team.
* Participate in project planning, estimation, and stakeholder communication to ensure timely delivery of projects.
