We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive specialist school in Bristol. This role involves working closely with students who have Special Educational Needs (SEN), supporting their academic, social, and emotional development in a structured and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with a range of SEN, including autism (ASC), ADHD, and learning difficulties
Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored lessons and adapting materials to meet individual needs
Support students with emotional regulation and behavioural challenges using positive strategies
Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Encourage independence, confidence, and social interaction among students
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teaching staff
Assist with personal care where required (training provided if necessary)
Requirements
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential)
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
A genuine interest in supporting children with additional needs
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are advantageous but not essential
