My client is looking for an assistant editor to join the team that produces its suite of RadCom publications and manages its news desk.
The successful candidate will be involved in everything from magazine production and sub-editing, to writing articles and planning content. You will be a core part of the editorial team, working closely with (and being managed by) the RadCom Managing Editor.

What will you be doing in the role?
Reporting to the Managing Editor, you will:
* Commission articles and liaise with authors on their articles
* Sub-edit copy sent in by contributors and regular columnists
* Help to guide the content of RadCom Basics and RadCom Plus supplements
* Be part of the team that puts together a weekly news script
* Help to answer queries on technical and amateur radio licensing matters
* Help develop the entire co-ordinated RadCom portfolio, including new media opportunities
What we would like from you:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
* Experience with Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop is highly desirable
* Positive, enthusiastic about technology, with excellent command of English
* Good eye for detail and ability to work under pressure to exacting standards
* Knowledge of radio and electronics, including amateur radio, is desirable
