This role is ideal for an experienced teacher or current second-in-department who is passionate about English, curriculum development, and raising standards for all learners.

The successful Head of English will:
* Lead and develop a high-performing English department across KS3-KS5
* Drive outstanding teaching, learning, and outcomes in English
* Design and implement an ambitious, engaging curriculum
* Support, coach, and inspire members of the English team
* Monitor progress, use data effectively, and implement strategies for improvement
* Play a key role in whole-school development as a middle leader
Person specification:
* Qualified teacher with QTS and a specialism in English
* Proven experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
* Evidence of strong classroom practice and excellent behaviour management
* Experience in, or readiness for, a leadership or management role
* Highly organised, reflective, and committed to continuous improvement
* Passionate about making a meaningful difference to students' outcomes
