Senior Building Surveyor – Consultancy – London
Salary: £65,000 – £75,000 per annum
We are a thriving commercial consultancy in Central London seeking a confident, forward‑thinking, commercially focused Senior Building Surveyor to join our practice. The role offers a diverse workload and a hybrid working regime of three days in the office and two days working from home.

Key Responsibilities
* Run smaller capital projects (£50k to £1M) from inception to completion, reporting directly to clients and developing client relationships.
* Assist directors with larger scale projects (£1M to £10M+).
* Liaise with and manage an external multidisciplinary design team.
* Prepare specifications and develop a detailed understanding of various construction types to support our architectural team.
* Apply robust knowledge of main JCT contract forms (particularly D&B) and CA/EA roles.
* Conduct building and pre‑acquisition surveys of commercial and residential property.
* Apply knowledge of the Party Wall etc. Act 1996, prepare and serve notices and awards under the Act.
* Handle Landlord‑and‑Tenant issues and the Dilapidation Protocol, preparing and serving schedules and settlement negotiations.
* Submit statutory applications.
* Play an active role in business development.
Qualifications
* BSc in Building Surveying or equivalent.
* MRICS qualified.
