Where will you be working?
We provide end-to-end energy solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering, and home decarbonisation. This role is within our Metering team, the leading provider of metering services in the UK energy retail sector, offering efficient gas, electricity, and water metering services.
What will you be doing?
As an engineer, you will respond to emergency and maintenance appointments for EON, ensuring smart meters are functioning correctly. You will install, maintain, and remove SMETS2 smart meters in customers' homes, typically completing around 5 jobs per day, with opportunities for uncapped bonuses for additional jobs.
You will travel within your area using a tablet to view your schedule, which is available up to 2 weeks in advance. Continuous training will be provided to develop your skills. The role involves health and safety responsibilities, with ongoing support from field managers and team meetings.
What You’ll Bring
* Valid UK driving license (held for at least 1 year, with fewer than 6 points)
* Qualifications: CCN1 / CMA1 / CMA3 with MET1, or NVQ Level 2 in Smart Metering Dual Fuel; experience installing gas and electric smart meters; previous MOCOPA experience at multi-rate level
Additional qualifications such as REGT1, 3-phase, or registration on the EUSR portal are advantageous but not required.
