Mackenzie College is a highly regarded rural secondary school set within some of the most outstanding landscapes in Aotearoa. Our catchment stretches from Lake Tekapo to Cave, and our community is known for its positivity, support, and strong partnership with the school.
We are seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and hard-working Mathematics Head of Learning Area to join our team on a permanent basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step into middle leadership, grow their capability, and contribute to a high-performing, collegial team.
Our current HOLA retires at the end of 2026, and another mathematics teacher will be on sabbatical for Term 4. This creates a unique opportunity for the successful applicant to begin in Term 4, 2026, allowing for a full handover and supported transition into the role.
* High levels of collegiality and collaboration
* A strong focus on staff wellbeing, reflected in our meeting structure and culture
* A high-achieving and academic environment
* A proactive and supportive rural community
* A commitment to growing leadership and developing people
If you are looking for a new challenge, a chance to lead learning, and an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a thriving rural school, we would love to hear from you.
