Role description We are looking for a confident and creative Year 5 Teacher to inspire Upper Key Stage 2 learners from January 2026. The Year 5 Teacher will teach curriculum-rich lessons, lead collaborative projects and prepare pupils for Year 6. The Year 5 Teacher will be expected to join pre-term planning activities prior to January 2026, complete induction in January 2026, and assume classroom responsibilities from January 2026. • Year 5 Teacher vacancy - Full-Time, Nottingham. • Year 5 Teacher begins planning before January 2026, attends induction in January 2026, and teaches from January 2026. • Year 5 Teacher role with CPD, supportive phase team and scope to lead enrichment. Year 5 Teacher Duties • Plan coherent sequences in maths and English as the Year 5 Teacher. • Design enquiry-led foundation lessons and practical investigations as the Year 5 Teacher. • Lead targeted interventions and track progress as the Year 5 Teacher. • Support transition activities and feedback to parents as the Year 5 Teacher. The Year 5 Teacher will prepare resources ahead of January 2026, test approaches during induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026. Person specification - (Year 5 Teacher Requirements) We seek a Year 5 Teacher with QTS/PGCE (or equivalent), proven KS2 impact and excellent behaviour management. The Year 5 Teacher should be data-aware, collaborative and able to mentor less-experienced staff. Availability for planning before January 2026, induction in January 2026, and to teach from January 2026 is required.
