We’re looking for ambitious Psychology graduates to work as Teaching Assistants in specialist schools across Sunderland. This is an incredible opportunity to gain first-hand experience supporting pupils with special educational needs, social and emotional needs, and autism. Perfect if you’re considering a career in educational psychology, clinical psychology, or teaching.
The role will involve:
* Supporting children with additional needs in and out of the classroom
* Helping pupils develop social, emotional, and communication skills
* Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to deliver tailored support
* Using your psychology knowledge to apply strategies that promote positive behaviour and wellbeing
We’re looking for graduates who:
* Hold a Psychology degree (or a related subject)
* Have a genuine interest in child development, mental health, or education
* Are patient, empathetic, and resilient in challenging situations
* Are eager to learn and open to training opportunities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
