The Role:
We are looking for an Associate Engineer to join our growing IT team. You will play a key role in ensuring our systems and services are secure, reliable, and effective. You’ll work closely with the Lead Infrastructure Engineer and Solutions Architect to implement and maintain Cloud and on-premise infrastructure, keeping our technology running smoothly and supporting the transformation of our workplaces. This role will require travel to multiple sites, so access to your own vehicle is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure the technology we provide to colleagues works effectively and reliably
* Implement changes to transform and improve our workplaces
* Collaborate on the design of new and revised systems and services with the Lead Infrastructure Engineer and Solutions Architect
* Build, implement, and integrate new Cloud and on-premise infrastructure capabilities
* Maintain the security of our systems and services
* Support service maintenance to meet agreed availability targets
* Travel to multiple sites to support technology deployments and issue resolution
* Develop your own technical skills, supported by ongoing learning opportunities
What We’re Looking For:
* Strong experience with Microsoft Entra, InTune, SharePoint Online, and Teams
* Proven ability in network deployment and troubleshooting
* Experience working with IT ticketing systems
* Access to your own vehicle and willingness to travel to multiple sites
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and learning
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Requirements:
Technically aware across a range of infrastructure building blocks
Able to build and implement infrastructure capabilities
Experience managing component parts of complex systems to agreed targets
Can articulate the type of activity required to migrate services to the Cloud
Experience making and guiding decisions, clearly explaining how a decision is reached
Able to implement secure services that enable the business outcomes
Aware of user-centred design, technology and data perspectives. An understanding of the range of available technology choices and an ability to make informed decisions based on user need and value for money.
Aware of wider business issues, events and activities, and their short to long term impact.
Able to understand architectural principles, patterns, standards, roadmaps and vision statements
Able to work within technology change management and ITIL frameworks
