Cash & Banking Assistant
6 month FTC
Bristol: 2-3 days a week in the office
The Role
We're looking for a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our Finance team as a Cash & Banking Assistant. This role is integral to ensuring all financial processes are completed accurately and on time, while supporting key areas such as refunds, reconciliations, and expenses.
Responsibilities
* To accurately post all refunds requested by practices in a timely manner and in accordance with our patient refund policy.
* Carry out nominated bank reconciliations on a monthly basis
* To escalate issues as required to the Cash and Banking Team Leader
* To work cross functionally with all departments to ensure all bank postings are posted correctly and to the relevant cost or income account
* To accurately review and process company employee expenses in a timely manner and in accordance with our travel and expenses policy
* To accurately review and process company credit card expenses in a timely manner and in accordance with our travel and expenses policy
* To maintain accurate records for audit purposes and assist with internal and external audit processes where required
* Complete and obtain the appropriate approval for all bank correspondence and instructions
* Carry out reconciliations of banking deposits against the company's cash management system and resolve or escalate any discrepancies
* Ad hoc duties as and when required
Skills/Experience
Essential:
* Good communication skills
* Demonstrable experience of high volume data entry
* Computer literate particularly Excel
* Working to strict deadlines
* Prioritisation and time management
* Attention to detail
