Teaching Assistant - Primary School (Full-Time & Part-Time Roles Available)
Location:Garstang, Lancashire
Start Date:September 2025
Job Description:Veritas Education are currently working with a welcoming and well-resourced primary school in the Garstang area. The school is looking to appoint two Teaching Assistants for September:
Role 1 - Part-Time Teaching Assistant
* Days: Wednesday to Friday
* Hours: 15.5 per week (school hours)
* Key Stage: KS1 or KS2 (flexible, based on experience and school needs)
* Additional Opportunities: Breakfast club or lunchtime support, if desired
This role is ideal for someone looking to contribute meaningfully in a school environment while maintaining work-life balance.
Role 2 - Full-Time 1:1 Teaching Assistant
* Working with: A Year 1 pupil with an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP)
* Hours: Full-time, term-time only
* Duties: Supporting the pupil's learning, emotional regulation, and access to the curriculum
* Additional Opportunities: Breakfast and after-school club hours available
We are seeking someone patient, caring, and confident in supporting children with additional needs.
What We're Looking For:? Previous school-based experience or relevant childcare/support experience? A genuine passion for supporting children's education and well-being? Strong communication and interpersonal skills? Ability to build relationships with staff, children, and parents
