Job Details
Madras College Community Use currently offers instructor-led Netball (Monday), Pickleball (Thursday), and Multi-Sports & Games (Monday evenings and Saturday mornings).
This role is initially offered on a casual basis, with scope to develop in coordination with the successful candidate, depending on their confidence, skills, and expertise. We are also seeking cover for our Dance Instructor.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic individual to deliver fun, engaging, and inclusive sessions for children and young people of all abilities.
Current cover is required for:
* Monday Netball (P4–S2) – 5:45pm–7:15pm
* Thursday Pickleball – 6:00pm–7:00pm
* Saturday Fun Club (Multi-Sports & Games) – 10:00am–12:00pm
Applicants can apply for one or more of these specialisms/times.
Activities run during school term time only, though we also deliver holiday programmes in partnership with Active Schools, Sports Development, and Youth Work. These usually take place during the first week of each holiday (9:00am–1:00pm). If evenings aren't possible but holidays are, please still apply.
We are committed to working with the successful candidate to create further physical activity opportunities for children and young people in the area. A strong ability to adapt sessions to suit individuals and groups is essential.
Madras College Community Use Operational Hours:
Our core opening hours for activity delivery are Monday–Friday evenings (5:45pm–10:00pm) and Saturday mornings (9:30am–12:45pm).
Enhanced Pay: Any hours worked after 8:00pm or at weekends are paid with a 33% enhancement.

The Person
We understand that leading physical activity is a transferable skill across many associated fields of work. If you have experience leading, teaching or coaching general play, generic sports or specific sports then please apply.
Experience in coaching, teaching or leading physical activity in sport, youth work or play settings is essential.
Candidates must have experience in engaging with and encouraging individuals to be part of the session. An attitude of inclusion and looking for the best in individuals taking the journey towards physical activity is essential.
A full induction will be provided which will include mandatory Fife Council eLearning along with job profile-specific training i.e., Inclusion, Promoting Positive Behaviour and Child Protection.
Experience in developing and promoting a physical activity session would be advantageous.
Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
