Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Nurse to join Morecambe Bay Cardiology Services as an Arrhythmia Nurse Specialist for 4 days a week (30 hours). The post will be based around one of our three main hospital sites (Lancaster, Kendal or Barrow-in-Furness). We cover a patient population across North Lancashire and the Southern Lake district.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with the existing Arrhythmia team and a multidisciplinary staff within the Cardiology Directorate, including Consultant Cardiologists, Specialist Cardiology Nurse, Clinical Investigation Technicians and Cath Lab staff.
* Lead and develop practice to promote and provide high quality service throughout the patient pathway for patients and their families.
* Provide and facilitate the delivery of highly specialised care for patients with arrhythmias, including cardioversion lists, arrhythmia clinics, implantable loop recorder implantation and ECG monitor interpretation.
* Be responsible for providing expert practice through leadership, consultation, clinical advice, teaching and support for staff, and work with clinical colleagues to provide information, advice and support to patients with complex arrhythmias.

Person Specification
Essential
* 1st year registered nurse
* Qualification in teaching and assessing
* Nurse prescribing qualification
* Certificate in arrhythmia management
* ALS
* Evidence of continuing CPD
Desirable
* Clinical assessment and examination course
* Nurse led sedation course
* BHRS accreditation
Salary & Contract
* Band 7, £47,810 to £54,710 a year pro rata, per annum.
* Permanent, part‑time, flexible working.
