Long-Term Teachers are working with a fantastic mainstream Church of England Junior School with a SEND Resource Base for pupils aged 7 - 11. Part of a supportive multi-academy trust, which oversees several Specialist provisions in and around Wiltshire.
Commencing in September 2024, you will work 19.5 hours per week. The school is flexible on which days. This is a fixed-term contract from September 2024 until December 2024, with potential for continuation.
We seek a caring, dedicated, qualified teacher capable of building trusting relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Applicants should have at least 2 years of UK teaching experience. Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 is desirable, as you'll plan and deliver sessions for this age group.
Essential requirements before applying:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching across the primary phase
* Proven classroom teaching experience
* Experience in setting targets, monitoring, assessment, and performance management to enhance pupil achievement
* Ability to work well within a team
* Strong ICT skills
* Understanding of SEND and support strategies
Key responsibilities:
* Setting and evaluating individual termly targets; maintaining achievement records in collaboration with colleagues
* Providing reports and assessments in line with school policy for various audiences, including detailed reports before annual reviews
* Maintaining effective communication with parents/carers regarding their child's welfare and progress
* Safeguarding all pupils by adhering to Education Provisions (EP) safeguarding policies, reporting concerns, and recording information appropriately
