The Greater Manchester Shared Service (GMSS), established in early 2017, is a partnership between Trafford Council and Greater Manchester Police (GMP). We aim to provide a first-class, professional HR and payroll service for approximately 20,000 employees and customers across both organizations.
We are seeking a dynamic HR Systems and Data Specialist committed to delivering a professional service to Trafford Council and GMP, including continuous process and system improvements across the employee lifecycle.
This role is suitable for someone seeking a challenge in a fast-paced, high-volume, customer-focused environment with a passion for leveraging technology to improve payroll, pensions, and HR services.
Main Purpose of this Role
The successful candidate will contribute to developing and continuously improving a leading-edge Shared Service Partnership, supporting a high-performing, customer-focused service through expertise in innovative HR and payroll systems.
The role involves system administration, user support, maintenance, upgrades, testing, security, and development of new modules. Additionally, the candidate will support management information services, providing reports within governance protocols. Handling complex data analysis and ensuring data integrity are essential responsibilities.
The Specialist will be the expert in the systems used by the HR Shared Service Centre and will provide training, documentation, and query management to system users.
