Purpose of the job: To lead and manage the warehouse and despatch operations, ensuring efficient, safe, and timely handling of goods from receipt to delivery. The role is responsible for maintaining high standards of inventory control, team performance, and customer satisfaction.
Reports to: Operations Manager
Key accountabilities
* Warehouse Operations:
* Oversee daily warehouse activities including goods in/out, storage, and inventory management.
Despatch Management:
* Liaise with transport providers and internal departments to ensure smooth logistics.
* Monitor and improve despatch accuracy and timeliness.
Team Leadership:
* Manage, train, and develop warehouse and despatch staff.
* Conduct performance reviews and support staff development.
* Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Compliance & Safety:
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
* Conduct regular risk assessments and implement corrective actions.
* Maintain accurate records for audits and reporting.
Systems & Reporting:
* Use warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP tools to track operations.
* Generate reports on KPIs such as order accuracy, delivery performance, and stock levels.
* Identify and implement process improvements.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Proven experience in warehouse and despatch management.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
* Proficient in inventory systems and Microsoft Office.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
* Forklift license (desirable).

Hours – Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:00 with flexibility to cover other shifts when necessary.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £28,000.00-£33,500.00 per year
