Role Overview
Lecturer – Accounting & Finance (BA (Hons)) at Global Banking School, Academic/Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU). Full‑time, Permanent, 40 hours per week. Salary: £55,000. Location: London, East London. Sponsorship not offered.
Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver, and assess student work, ensuring all learning outcomes are met.
* Develop, update, and improve course materials.
* Use a variety of learning and teaching methods and materials.
* Engage in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings, and other administrative duties.
* Keep up to date with latest developments in the field and student support practices.
* Work towards objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction, and progression.
Qualifications
* Master’s degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable).
* Previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area.
* Extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter.
* Experience supervising student work, providing support and feedback.
* Accurate reporting and ability to maintain thorough and organized student records.
* Ability to work under pressure, plan, and prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team‑working skills.
* Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
Desirable
* Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during probationary period and complete within three years) or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent).
* Experience in design/development of academic or professional education programmes or equivalent.
