Responsibilities
To provide quality assurance services to production departments so as to best represent the interest of customers whilst preserving L & P profitability.
To liaise with customers and suppliers regarding quality related issues when required.
Main Duties
* Day-to-day running of Q.A. Department involving the allocation of daily duties to subordinates in line with production/delivery requirements.
* Support and maintain Q.A activities within the department and production areas.
* To conduct internal audits to ensure the Quality Systems and procedures are adequate and properly maintained to assure ongoing quality standards.
* To actively promote a continuous improvement ethos and product awareness companywide.
* Participate in and support Advanced Quality Planning activities.
* Ensure the corrective action system is maintained.
* Ensure the calibration system is maintained.
* The ongoing development of QA techniques in all departments.
* To provide the necessary data and statistics from which action plans to decrease the cost of quality can be formulated.
* To monitor the effectiveness/performance of QA staff and of QA systems within the company.
* You may be required to undertake other such duties as may reasonably be required of you either in the post mentioned above or any other department within the organisation.
