Role Overview:
The Project Application Engineer will deliver process control system solutions to customers. This hands-on engineering role involves delivering SCADA and process control systems, covering all project phases including requirements gathering, documentation, configuration, testing, commissioning, and training.
Hybrid work – 3 days a week in the office.
Responsibilities:
* Liaise with customers to define system requirements
* Generate detailed system designs for automation systems, including enclosures, networking, instrumentation, and supervisory systems
* Create Functional and Test Specifications
* Implement control and SCADA application software
* Perform system tests
* Provide commissioning assistance
* Offer technical and sales support
* Work as a team member to ensure effective project completion using SMART objectives
* Interface with Technical Support and Field Service Engineers, providing project follow-ups
* Coach and mentor junior team members
* Conduct customer off-site visits for system start-up, commissioning, emergency restoration, training, and technical support
Qualifications and Attributes:
* Proven experience in implementing control systems and providing related services
* Degree in Control and Systems Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields
* Experience with SCADA systems, specifically Aveva System Platform
* Experience in Functional Specifications, Test Specifications, and Application Engineering
* Strong business and technical mindset
* Good team player and communicator
* Strong analytical and planning skills
* Willingness to travel occasionally
