Transport Manager - Job Overview
Cost-effective management of the transport operation, including the scheduling of vehicles and drivers to maintain the required level of customer service.
Monitor the transport operation and make recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce expenses.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing transportation, including vehicle maintenance, driver training, and safety requirements.
Manage and train a team of drivers and other transport staff, including performance management and career development.
Support the GM in developing and implementing transportation policies and procedures to ensure compliance, consistency, and quality of service.
Act as the nominated competent person for the operator's licence.Transport Manager - Job Requirements
Management CPC - Essential
Willingness to be hands on in Planning and Driver Management
Ability to effectively manage drivers and transport office personnel
Strong knowledge of transport legislation, driver hours, tachographs, and the Working Time Directive (WTD)
Knowledge of ADR fleets is highly desirableTransport Manager - Salary & Benefits
Negotiable salary: £38,000 - £45,000
Monday - Friday role (7am - 4pm OR 9am - 6pm)
28 days holiday (including bank holidays)
