Job Overview:-
Working closely with representatives from all departments to lead the implementation and delivery of the biologic sales plan in the European and ROW market to support short-term and long-term growth strategy. Responsible for proactively identifying and building new customer relationships and growing exiting accounts in the Europe & Rest of the World to deliver year on year revenue and pipeline opportunity growth. Representing Business Development as a point of contact for the assigned territory in a wide variety of settings.

Key Responsibilities:-
1. Responsible for generating new business from both new customers and existing accounts, with a strong emphasis on biologics development and manufacturing services, through frequent direct customer visits, virtual meetings, and extensive networking activities
2. Demonstrate strategic business awareness of the biologics and CDMO markets, leveraging industry insight to differentiate Piramal’s capabilities from the competition
3. Effectively promote current biologics technical capabilities and emerging / new technologies as they become available to drive the generation and closing of new business opportunities
4. Identify sales opportunities and establish relationships with existing customers to generate future sales, cross-selling avenues, and repeat business across biologics and small molecule portfolios
5. Develop and implement strategic account plans for key biologics and CDMO accounts within the assigned territory
6. Contact new accounts and leverage an established network within the biologics and biopharmaceutical sectors to map and qualify new opportunities
7. Prepare and deliver client proposals in collaboration with Program Managers, negotiating agreements to close deals and secure long-term partnerships
8. Interface with Production, Supply Chain, and Logistics functions to ensure dispatch as per customer timelines and liaise with regulatory teams to meet statutory requirements
9. Participate in strategy and annual planning meetings, reporting sales performance, funnel status, and developing accurate forecasts and budgets
10. Retain, expand, and strengthen client relationships by ensuring high-quality customer service and proactive issue resolution
11. Manage sales activities and customer engagement through the platform
Skills and Competencies:-
12. Strong technical understanding of biologics and manufacturing processes
13. Proven experience in selling biologics services within a CDMO environment, with a demonstrated ability to articulate technical value propositions and differentiate offerings in a competitive market
14. Demonstrated track record to secure new customers, exhibiting a strong close rate
15. Effective at working with scientists and other customer stakeholders, up to and including C-suite leaders, to discuss the value proposition of Piramal’s offerings
16. Understanding of customer contact management system
17. Adept at building a strong internal network and navigating the organization to optimize influence and ensure appropriate support levels for territory opportunities
18. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
19. Customer-centric with the ability to build relationships based on trust and long-term commitment
20. Experience in working with and driving teams to achieve specific customer-based results
