Head of Finance Location: London (hybrid working) A fast-growing, commercially focused FMCG business is seeking a Head of Finance to lead its finance function and act as a true partner to the leadership team. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role with real influence over decision-making, performance, and growth. You will sit at the heart of the business, balancing strong financial control with commercial insight and strategic thinking. The role As Head of Finance, you will take full ownership of the finance function, ensuring robust reporting, strong controls, and clear insight to support growth. You will work closely with the CEO and senior stakeholders, translating numbers into actions and outcomes. This role suits someone who enjoys building, improving, and owning finance rather than operating in a narrow silo. What you will be doing Leading all core finance activities including reporting, budgeting, and forecasting Producing clear, accurate monthly management accounts and board packs Owning cash flow, working capital, and financial planning Partnering with senior stakeholders to support commercial decision-making Improving processes, systems, and controls as the business scales Managing and developing a small finance team Acting as the main point of contact for auditors, advisors, and banks Supporting strategic projects such as growth initiatives, investment, or transformation What we are looking for Proven experience in a Head of Finance, Finance Director, or senior finance role Strong technical accounting foundation with commercial awareness Confident communicator, comfortable influencing senior stakeholders Experience in a growing, private equity-backed, or entrepreneurial environment is highly desirable Qualified accountant preferred (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) This role is ideal for someone ready to step into a broad leadership position with genuine ownership and progression.
