Role Overview
Sanctuary Personnel is recruiting a Social Worker to join the Adult Locality Team in Medway on a permanent, full‑time basis. Key Responsibilities
* Work directly with adults to identify and evidence their wishes, feelings, strengths, and desired outcomes
* Deliver relationship‑based and strengths‑based practice in collaboration with adults, families, and carers
* Manage a caseload effectively with the support of reflective supervision
* Complete strengths‑based assessments and develop person‑centred, outcome‑focused support plans
* Maintain accurate, timely, and legally compliant case
* Participate in regular supervision to critically reflect on practice and identify learning and development needs
* Apply research, theory, and evidence‑based practice to inform professional decision‑making
* Seek guidance appropriately from supervisors, senior practitioners, and partner professionals
* Demonstrate sound professional judgement, particularly in relation to mental capacity, mental health, and safeguarding
* Contribute to performance appraisals and identify individual and team development needs
* Undertake additional duties as required by the Head of Service, consistent with the scope of the role
Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work
* Registration with Social Work England, or eligibility to register
* Proven understanding of relevant legislation, including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding frameworks
* Experience working within Adult Social Care (statutory experience preferred)
* Ability to apply strengths‑based and relationship‑focused approaches in practice
* Strong assessment, communication, and report‑writing skills
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
* Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team
