We are seeking a Technical Author who will be responsible for creating, producing, managing, and delivering high-quality technical documentation to support factory & on-site testing, production, and client handover. This role is critical in setting up and ensuring all test documentation, manuals, and training materials are aligned with drawings, testing schedules, and demanding production timelines. Key Responsibilities • Produce electronic test documentation using Microsoft Word, Adobe PDF formats and associated software. • Generate Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) documentation in accordance with drawings and test schedules. • Develop and maintain Operation & Maintenance Manuals and Client Training Manuals to a consistently high standard. • Build and sustain strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders. • Liaise daily with Production teams to track progress, optimise processes, and resolve documentation or testing-related issues. • Manage documentation workloads to meet tight production deadlines. • Support training, development, and employee engagement initiatives. • Champion continuous improvement in documentation quality and workflow efficiency. Requirements • Excellent personnel management and communication skills. • Strong team player with a proactive approach to work and staff engagement. • Highly organised with strong problem-solving abilities and a continuous improvement mindset. • Exceptional attention to detail. • Computer literate, particularly with Microsoft Office. • Proficient in reading and understanding electrical engineering drawings. • Working knowledge of LV/MV Switchgear, modular power pod /Epod assemblies and controls.
