We currently have 37.5 hours per week vacancies for a Qualified Nurse to work as part of the nursing team at The Cove, a QNIC accredited inpatient service in Heysham Lancashire. The primary focus of the role will be to provide quality care for young people aged 13 and up to their 18thbirthdays that have acute mental health problems, in partnership with their families and carers.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be part of the multi-disciplinary team of health and social care professionals.
The service provides assessment and treatment for young people from across the whole of Lancashire and South Cumbria.
The post involves a 24 hour working pattern covering days, nights and weekends.
The successful candidate must have a genuine interest and a desire to work with young people within this age range.
To join the team you will need to be caring, compassionate, innovative, creative, flexible and highly motivated. We are looking for a good communicator and team player.
Working with this age group is a specialist field that will provide you with a highly challenging and very rewarding career. Relevant training and supervision will be provided for all successful applicants as an integral part of their ongoing professional development.
The service is committed to Young People's participation in decision-making and we would expect applicants to support collaborative working with young people. The selection and appointment process will involve Young People who have experience of using CYPMH services.
