Job Summary
Maintenance, configuration, development and day to day management of the Radiology Information Systems and functional support and development of other associated clinical applications within the Trust.
Act as a point of contact for a range of problems identified by users or through routine system monitoring, analysing the identified situation and available information to manage, resolve and prevent recurrence e.g. data quality, system configuration errors/changes and user problems with the system.
Produce Radiology Information System statistical reports and data.
Provide tailored induction training and ongoing training and support to Trust Staff.
This post is currently based at the Cumberland Infirmary although the post holder will be required to work on all Trust sites as and when required.

Qualifications and Skills
Qualifications – Essential: Good standard of general education to A-level or equivalent; ECDL Advanced or equivalent. Desirable: Degree level education/experience; Health Informatics Qualification.
Skills – Essential: Advanced communication, interpersonal, organisational and presentation skills; ability to work effectively as part of a team; strong analytical, statistical and numerical skills; ability to use initiative; ability to teach; ability to organise workload, prioritise and meet deadlines; ability to develop and deliver training programmes to all levels of staff. Desirable: Handling complaints; Managing incidents; experience of working with external agencies; knowledge of radiology administration processes; detailed knowledge of Acute Trust Systems.
Personal – Essential: Confident, articulate, responsible and diplomatic; ability to generate and implement ideas; self-motivated; reliable and diligent.
Experience & Knowledge – Essential: Detailed knowledge of integrated IT systems; provision and analysis of statistical reports/spreadsheets; provision of systems user training; working knowledge of computer-based information systems, data collection and validation. Desirable: Significant NHS experience; working with radiology information systems; Waiting List Management; experience of developing, implementing and managing systems.
