The Opportunity
We're working with an ambitious, growing organisation looking to bring in a commercially focused Management Accountant to play a key role in shaping financial performance and supporting strategic growth.
This is more than a reporting role - it's an opportunity to influence real business decisions, partner with senior stakeholders, and add genuine value across the organisation.
The Role
You'll be at the centre of the finance function, taking ownership of producing high-quality financial information that helps the business understand where it is and where it's going. You'll translate complex data into clear insight, giving leaders the confidence to make informed decisions quickly.
A big part of your time will be spent working alongside non-finance teams, helping them understand performance, manage budgets, and identify opportunities to improve results. You'll naturally build strong relationships across the business, becoming a trusted advisor rather than just a number cruncher.
You'll play a key role in budgeting and forecasting cycles, helping to shape plans while continually reviewing performance against them. By spotting trends early and explaining variances in a clear and practical way, you'll help drive accountability and better decision-making.
There will also be a strong focus on improving profitability. You'll dig into costs, margins, and operational activity to uncover efficiencies and highlight areas for improvement. Whether it's supporting pricing decisions or evaluating new initiatives, your insight will directly impact the bottom line.
Alongside this, you'll help maintain a robust and well-controlled financial environment. You'll ensure reporting is accurate, processes are well managed, and everything stands up to scrutiny during audit. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to wider business initiatives, supporting investment decisions, building financial models, and assessing the potential of new projects.
