Machine Setter/ Operator ( EDM ) Redditch Permanent £14 to £16.50 per hour plus shift allowance Overview EMBS Engineering Ltd is working in partnership with a leading precision engineering manufacturer, located near Redditch that is currently in the market for a Machine Setter/ Operator (Wire EDM) to join their company on a permanent basis. This market leader is a well-established entity within the precision engineering industries and boasts a rich history of supporting globally recognised customers with safety-critical, highly complex components. Stability / Longevity: A well established company currently undergoing a period of growth Competitive salary: £14 to £15 per hour plus £2.60 shift allowance Hours: Monday to Wednesday 4.30pm to 2.30am, Thursday 4.30pm to 1.30am with permanent Fridays off Your responsibilities will include: Operate and control EDM machines and other equipment in the area, following relevant procedures. Read and understand CNC machine code to the level necessary for machine setup and operation. Comprehend setup parameters and their impact on the machining process, including datum setting and tool length and wear offsets. Set up machines with the appropriate work holding and tooling, adhering to relevant procedures. Perform machining operations efficiently as per Job Card instructions to meet required output levels. Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate: Able to operate EDM machines / Electro Discharge machines / Laser machines / Plasma machines / Electron Beam Machines / CNC Machines or similar equipment. Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
