Web Development Manager – Temporary
Salary: £40,541.00 to £47,249.00 per year. Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Location: National Museum of the Royal Navy, Portsmouth Historic Dockyard (hybrid working available). Fixed term contract until 31 March 2026. Closing date: 28 September 2025.
Responsibilities
* Lead a major website rebrand in collaboration with external agencies.
* Act as the main point of contact, working with digital and web development agencies to implement the new brand on the current website.
* Manage the project to review and optimise the customer journey, initiate layout and functionality updates, and ensure the new brand is executed successfully.
* Measure the success of the brand launch and website performance using tools such as Google Analytics and Hotjar to inform future strategy.
* Collaborate with internal departments to ensure digital content aligns with the rebrand and engages audiences to increase awareness and revenue.
What you can bring
* Strong understanding of web development principles, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and content management systems (CMS).
* Knowledge of graphic design principles.
* Experience with data analysis and reporting.
* Demonstrable experience in managing website projects, including development, design, and maintenance.
* Experience in managing website update programmes and processes in a complex organisation.
