We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS) to join an exciting Data Centre project in Slough with a leading tier-1 main contractor. This role offers the flexibility to join on a contract/freelance basis due to the urgent nature of the project, but our client will also consider permanent candidates.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and oversee the financial aspects of the Data Centre project, ensuring adherence to budget and contract terms.
* Work closely with the Commercial Lead and other Project Quantity Surveyors to ensure effective project delivery.
* Assist in cost planning, forecasting, and reporting.
* Provide advice on contractual issues, procurement, and risk management.
* Monitor and evaluate project progress, and proactively address any financial or contractual challenges.
* Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the construction or data centre sectors.
* Strong knowledge of cost management, contract administration, and procurement processes.
* Experience working with a team of Project Quantity Surveyors.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., CostX, Procore, MS Excel, etc.) is preferred.
