About the role Church walk is part of Hackney Pathway providing 24 hour supported accommodation to 31 single homeless women aged 22 – 65yrs with High support and trauma. This position will provide you with the opportunity to manage a specialised and committed team within a female only setting. In this role you will: Have overall responsibility for both the development and the day-to-day running of the service. Managing, leading, motivating and developing a staff team consisting of 1 Deputy Manager ,1 Senior Project worker, 4 Project workers, 2 Night concierges and a cleaner. Manage the service shift rota. Ensure the service meets contract and best practice requirements Maintaining and building on the network of relationships with other statutory and voluntary agencies, and the local community. Reviewing and developing working practices to ensure they are in line with St Mungo’s policies and procedures, and that the best possible service is provided to St Mungo’s clients. Ensure that residents receive high-quality support, care and advice to clients that is focused on their strengths and goals and delivered in a way that suits them and within a framework of active engagement, positive risk taking and person-centered planning. Monitor and give feedback on the service’s income and expenditure in line with service budgets. Interrogate quantitative and qualitative data and produce high quality reports for a variety of audiences including commissioners. About you We are looking for a committed & inspiring Service manager with Hostel/ Service management experience with a can-do attitude and interest in continued service improvement. You should be an excellent communicator and problem-solver, as well as demonstrating a high level of emotional intelligence & resilience in relation to the support of the staff team and high need female only client group.
