Location: Nelson - Office based
Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 DOE
Monday to Friday working 8:30 - 17:00 or 9:00 - 17:30 (37.5 hours per week)
Daisy is seeking a passionate and technically astute IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of technical proficiency and a proven track record in delivering complex integration and separation projects. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing IT infrastructure within our internal and externally hosted systems. A deep understanding of IT security, networking, and cloud platforms—particularly AWS and Microsoft Azure—is essential.
This role offers a unique opportunity to help define and develop the core IT infrastructure of Daisy, ensuring it remains robust, secure, and adaptable to future business needs. Key Responsibilities
1. Provide technical support and assist with the implementation of a Daisy standalone IT infrastructure.
2. Design, support & optimise physical, virtual and cloud infrastructure.
3. Work with external networking, infrastructure and support teams.
4. Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
5. Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated, approaches for system administration tasks
6. Manage and complete effective documentation of server procedures regarding design and implementation of hardware, software, and systems
7. Actively perform system monitoring, verifying the availability and integrity of all servers, systems and key processes
8. Be an escalation point for the deskside support team.
9. Mentor the junior members of the IT team
10. Be able to act on Cyber Security Alerts
Qualifications
11. Project work involvement\implementation\planning
12. Microsoft Dynamics
13. VMware / Hyper-V implementation\administration\troubleshooting
14. General System Administration skills (Operating systems, hardware, virtualization)
15. Infrastructure security (Firewalls\AV)
16. Advanced working knowledge of Active Directory/DHCP/DNS/GPO etc.
17. Experience with Windows Server 2012r2 – 2022
18. Various Backup Tools including Rubrik and DPM
19. Organised with high attention to detail.
20. Cloud Experience AWS/Azure
21. Cyber Security Knowledge
22. Microsoft 365 Experience

23. System Centre Suite (DPM\VMM\SCOM\SCCM\Orchestrator) exposure and usage
24. CASB/DLP
25. ZTNA experience (Zscaler)
