Department: Financial Crime, Regulatory Operations

Location: Southampton, United Kingdom or London, United Kingdom

Contract Type: Permanent (Hybrid)

Regulated/Non-Regulated: Non-regulated

We are looking for a Financial Crime Analyst to support transaction monitoring and client screening activity within the Financial Crime Operations team. The role holder will have previous transaction monitoring experience.

Key elements of the role

* Monitor and analyse customer transactions to detect unusual or suspicious activities.
* Conduct thorough investigations of flagged transactions, documenting findings and escalating issues as necessary.
* Carrying out Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), sanctions and adverse media screening and alert elimination.
* Undertake other activities as directed by the Head of Financial Crime Operations.
* Provide support to the Head of Financial Crime Operations, or other financial crime areas as required.
About You

You will have:

* previous experience of undertaking transaction monitoring in a financial services firm.
* a good level of understanding and experience of Financial Crime across: AML/CTF; Sanctions; Anti-Bribery and Corruption; and Fraud, from a financial services company.
* strong attention to detail, organisation and prioritisation skills.
* good planning, analytical and communications (both verbal and written) skills.
* high energy and drive and be delivery focused.
* the ability to work well on your own or within a team.
* a can-do attitude, and willingness to just get stuck in where help is needed.
* financial crime qualifications are desirable but not essential.
