Your role will be to support the Head of Group Accounting in in ensuring the Group meets financial reporting, governance, and control requirements, including, accurate and timely accounting for balance sheet and P&L items below EBITDA, Preparation of high quality company accounts under IFRS/FRS101/European GAAP and supporting with reporting obligations, including monthly, half-year and full-year reporting cycles, audit readiness, and robust financial controls. You’ll own month-end close activities for P&L lines below EBITDA and related balance sheet accounts, delivering listed-company-standard journals, technical calculations and robust reconciliations. The role includes preparing monthly Group P&L and balance sheet reporting under IFRS, supporting consolidation and reporting timetables, and producing clear balance sheet substantiation and commentary. You’ll coordinate and prepare statutory accounts across UK and European subsidiaries under IFRS, FRS 101 and local GAAP, ensuring alignment with Group policies and external reporting, support interim and full-year reporting and disclosures, and act as a key contact for external auditors. You’ll also help strengthen financial controls and documentation, contribute to technical accounting papers, and support finance-led projects such as reporting enhancements, systems improvements and listed-company readiness initiatives Our Team Members are at the heart of what we do. About you: · ACA qualified with 1-2 years post qualification experience. Technically strong with excellent knowledge of IFRS, including but not limited to IAS16, IFRS18, IFRS16 and IFRS3. · Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical matters clearly to non-technical stakeholders. · Strong organisational and problem solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of the team, taking full ownership of assigned projects. · Experience working in a regulated, well-controlled reporting environment, with a clear understanding of audit and governance expectations. · Experience in Dynamics 365 or another major ERP system desirable.
