Where you’ll be working
The Mid Argyll, Kintyre & Islay area is in the West Coast of Scotland. The Mid Argyll, Kintyre & Islay pharmacy team provide clinical pharmacy input into mental services, community hospitals and GP practices. This post is based in Lochgilphead or Campbeltown and will involve regular travel to both areas; a full, current driving licence and use of your own car for work purposes is essential. The rural nature of the posts provides variety and the opportunity to develop new skills. The post is not suitable for routine remote working.
About the role and training
This post will allow you to develop your clinical and non-clinical skills in line with the NES post-registration foundation programme. You’ll deliver increasingly complex person-centred care across a range of settings, develop your prescribing capabilities, and integrate with our pharmacy and wider multi-professional teams. You’ll be supported by an educational supervisor throughout your training along with our experienced pharmacy teams.
Qualifications
* Masters degree in Pharmacy or equivalent, and be on the practising register of the General Pharmaceutical Council.
