Key's service in Nairn is looking for support workers for their thriving Short Breaks service, which provides breaks away from home to people with Learning Disabilities and Autism to enjoy a holiday in Nairn We're on the lookout for candidates that can use their initiative to encourage people to get the most out of their holiday, be it visiting the local destinations for lunch, walks on the beach, trips to the cinema, or even just a structured and relaxing afternoon in our well-equipped Short Breaks accommodation – our person centred approach to support ensures that the person we support is in control of their own holiday.
At the Short Breaks accommodation, you will have your own sleepover room for the shift, cooking utilities, and plenty of space.
We're looking for Support Workers to join our team who are committed to ensuring that young people get the most out of their Short Break, people who are motivated to make every day matter.
Shift patterns can be flexible with a preference for 12-12 shifts (sleepover inclusive), a driver's license is a bonus but not entirely necessary.
You'll also be eligible to work within our Housing Support service at Nairn, helping people with learning disabilities enjoy their day to day lives in the local community, ensuring their routines and support needs are met.

* Main Grade Hourly rate of £12.60 (Pay Award Pending)

You will empower individuals to live as independently as possible, promoting choice, dignity, and well-being. Every day is different in this challenging but rewarding role.

Applicants must be prepared to work flexibly as part of the team to meet the needs of the people who use our service. Supports will include work in the evenings and weekends as well as sleepovers and waking nights when required.
A commitment to a person-centred approach is essential and experience of working with people with learning disabilities is desirable.
