Position Overview
Prof. Jie Yu (Joseph) leads a research team within the University of Nottingham Ningbo China Business Administration postdoctoral research station. The role involves advancing research in green supply chain management and carbon‑footprint optimisation, integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into supply‑chain strategies.
Your Responsibilities
* Formulate and articulate research objectives, and develop proposals for individual and collaborative projects.
* Analyse data meticulously, interpret findings, evaluate scholarly texts, and contribute innovative insights, meeting project deadlines.
* Write research for publication and/or disseminate findings at national and international conferences.
* Identify opportunities and assist in writing bids for research grant applications.
* Build relationships with internal and external contacts to foster future collaborations and identify potential funding sources.
Qualifications
* PhD obtained within the last 3 years in Management (Sustainability or ESG) or related field.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese.
* High analytical ability to interpret data and scholarly texts, providing new insights.
* Creativity in applying relevant research approaches, models, techniques, and methods.
* Ability to assess and organise resource requirements and deploy resources effectively.
* Ability to build collaborative relationships internally and externally.
* Practical experience applying specialist skills and approaches required for the role.
Research Focus
The project explores innovative strategies for green supply chain management and carbon‑footprint optimisation in the context of dual carbon goals – carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.
Remuneration and Benefits
Fixed‑term, 2‑year contract with minimum annual salary of 269,906 RMB, competitive benefits package, and eligibility to apply for RMB50,000 research funding after commencement.
